Hello all,
Jason Weiser and I have created a Google Groups page here http://groups.google.com/group/dc-gaming-group for wargamers to arrange games with eachother here in DC, particularly games of AA, AZ, and FoF. Right now we are looking at having games in the meeting rooms of some of the local public libraries as there are hardly any stores or clubs in DC itself. Of course we welcome anyone from Virginia or Maryland who'd like to come too. _________________ Veni, vidi, vici |

Hi GG:
For local game stores in the DC, or at least close to DC, area have you visited Eagle and Empire down south of Springfield, near Ft. Belvoir.
It's a great store.
Or how about "Games Parlor" stores in either Chantilly or Potomac Mills.
I'm in the Baltimore area myself.

| Yes, indeed. I have been to both and while they are great stores and all, but sometimes it's a real pain to go out there and back especially with the way Beltway traffic can get for a single game. I don't mind going out there for bigger events or on occasion, it just sometimes doesn't make sense when gamers within a few miles of eachother have to spend hours in cars to all get together for a game or two. |

| I tend to echo GG's comments...Not saying we wouldn't consider it at a future date...but I think for now, we're looking for venues closer into the DC area proper. |

I agree. Traffic and parking rule here, and (honestly) enter into practically every decision one makes, especially with personal time so precious. That said, I want to encourage everyone with an interest in gaming AA and FoF and anything else to join and help this group grow. If we get a convenient, central location or locations, I'm sure we'll make it workable. (By central, I mean near suburbs -- McLean, FC, Bethesda, Kensington -- or NW DC near Metro.) I plan to contact gamers I know to see if they're interested. _________________ blogging at durecu.blogspot.com |

Hey all,
We've been gaming here at Victory Comics in Falls Church!
http://www.yelp.com/biz/victory-comics-falls-church
While we've been doing some playtesting for Tomorrow's War in our last meetings, we decided to take a break and do some FoF for our next meeting. It's going to be WWII Eastern Front, a late war German rearguard holding off the horrific Russian hordes, though the Germans aren't quite so German....Scale will be 20mm.
For more details, PM me or GG here, or email me at jason.weiser@gmail.com, and like I said, we're always trying to branch out to other wargamers in the community! |

Hi Jason;
Just checking in.
Did you play the FoF scenario...it sounds like the one from the rule book, which I've been wanting to play.
How did it go?
Thanks

It wasn't from the one from the rulebook. Very similar though. _________________ Veni, vidi, vici |

Nice job JW;
Thanks GG, when I read the scenario write up, I immediately thought of the French SS defending Berlin.
Good Gaming Guys;
