Hallo all! I'm not normally an ultramodern wargamer (Vietnam's about as 'modern' as I get), but seeing rave reviews of AA and AA:FoF together with the realisation that 20mm is a scale I quite like and which has pretty much everything availiable to fight any conflict you care to name...
...well, it's just a case of choosing whether to make something up, refight the Balkans, or take the plunge and start trying to bring demarkacee to the unwilling/obliterate the crusaders. _________________ Play up, play up, and play the game |

Welcome to the forum! Always glad for another new face around here. It can get so tiring with all the old ones alone.
But seriously! Don't be shy if you have any questions. |

Currently I live in Wimbledon, although it looks as though I'll be moving soon - probably to Warwickshire!
Rich - that'd be ace, not sure when/where though. PM me. _________________ Play up, play up, and play the game |

I must admit a large part of my desire to do ultramoderns is the fact that I'm trying to get into the Royal Armoured Corps as an ossifer. Still got to go to the first interview tho' so it's very early stages.
In the meantime, why not practice with toys? :p _________________ Play up, play up, and play the game |

Shame, you are just a little bit too far from me, good luck with the RAC though, of course, if you get in we expect to see you producing the best painted and weathered AFV's ever!
Mind you, I did 12 years in the RAF and my aircraft painting and modelling is only average |

Ah, see, I much prefer painting PBI to armour and vehicles - I just find the weathering really hard! If you do it realistically, they should be 90% dust/mud covered, with chipping up the wazoo.
But it always looks wrong when I do it. So normally I just give 'em a light drybrush of dust colour. Still looks wrong, but better wrong, if you see what I mean. _________________ Play up, play up, and play the game |

I know what you mean about AFV's, I drove Scimitars and Spartans in the RAF and the tracks were gloss black when new, you try putting that on a 1/72 model tank, yuk!
I am also up for a AA London day |

Thanks, on both counts!
Nutter that I am, I quite fancy Formation Reconnaissance, although I'm bitterly disappointed that we don't use armoured cars anymore. I am firmly of the opinion that AC are the most romantic armoured vehicle around. _________________ Play up, play up, and play the game |
