DotR Sample Scenario!
We decided it was time to give you a peek at one of the ten scenarios that will be included in the soon to be released Ambush Alley scenario expansion, Day of the Ranger!
Day of the Ranger contains scenarios revolving around US operations in Somalia which culminated with Operation Gothic Serpent and the events described in the book and movie Black Hawk Down. In addition to ten scenarios, the pack contains all the special rules you need to play Ambush Alley games set in Somalia, including rules for khat chewers, helicopters, night time infiltration, suppressed weapons, and hostile civilian mobs.
Day of the Ranger will be available soon and will sell for $15usd. The expansion will be available in PDF format from our online store.
The sample scenario, entitled “Closing Up Shop” is a hypothetical scenario in which US Marines face hostile militiamen defending a large weapons cache. It represents a possible action that could have occured during the Marine operations in Somalia prior to the arrival of Task Force Ranger. It can be played using standard Ambush Alley rules, but you’ll see reference to some of the new features you’ll find in Day of the Ranger.
